I think he may have been considering MVS as a possible cheap (if no one else wanted him) fall back option that is no longer available. To save 10 million dollars I'd rather take a flier on a late round speedster.

Now are you going to tell us who those three guys were in the other thread or are you going to make us guess. Saw you mention AJ green in another post. Is he one of them?

Thank you. I like the Idea of Julio or Cooks a lot. I like Green but not quite as much as I would have even just last year. He's still my favorite non Packer player though so I wouldn't mind bringing him in. Parker, a few years ago he sounded pretty good but I haven't really followed. He's still be a very good upgrade to our group I think.

I do like Julio..Cooks too. Green..he didn't look very good the few times I did see him last season. Keenan Cole could be good. If Gutey could somehow get D.K. without giving up too much, I would be ecstatic.

Doesn't change our need at all as nothing changed from our roster standpoint with the MVS signing.

Actually it 100% did change our need, just not from a roster count. Don’t get caught up in official terminology or semantics as far as FA. The demand (need) increased with the supply decrease.
MVS was squarely on our radar, but we lost the necessary votes to re-elect him to a post. This was not a positive today. A positive would’ve been a 3yr X 20-24mil type deal. I can assure you Gute wasn’t happy losing him for good today.

Congrats to MVS. He’s God fearing and s good man. I wish him the best. I already tweeted him some good biblical stuff to meditate on.. he’s Christian, but probably thinks I’m David Koresh. Lol

I'm convinced the Packers would have to give up significant draft capital as well as a lot of money to acquire and sign Metcalf.

If fiscally possible I wouldn't mind the Packers re-uniting Parker and Landry.
