Every new Bears coach makes some comment about beating the Packers. It's what the Bears fans want to hear.

Well he didn't say "Packers" .. he said Matt LeFluer. Actually, he beat LeFluer's defense. I might be a little touchy because of the 1-5 NFCN record. He'll, everyone in the division beat Matthew this season. That smirk needs to be slapped into Lake Michigan.

If the Packer who got a hand on the kick in the first game had trimmed his fingernails, it would have been 0-6. Yeah... I've got a bug up my a**

Is it MLF coaching, or his lack of not surrounding himself with talented coaches?
So many of those stupid off side penates has to stop.

And what's with all these %^&*( injury's??

Ben Johnson is adding Al Harris, former Packer DB & more recently Dallas' DB coach, to be the new Bear's DB & Passing game Coordinator. Great hire for them, not so good for we Packer fans.

I don't know why people go to the Packers have so many injuries well. Assuming the injuries page on Profootballreference is correct, just looking at the division, for # of times players appeared as Q/D/O/IR, GB was 46/8/31/90, MN 24/0/26/133, CHI 41/3/44/118 and DET 23/2/43/251. From an IR standpoint Detroit was far and away the most impacted and GB the least. GB had a higher incident of questionable, but the % that played was roughly in line with the others (67% and others were around 70%), outs were roughly the same and doubtful roughly in line.

Would love to look at the league as a whole, but thought GB wasn't that hit hard with injuries this year. Habit I guess. Seemed like soft tissue type stuff was down for them this year.

Interesting that the Lions beat the Bearz twice last season but he disses MLF. Well what else would he say? He's gotta praise his now ex-boss. Well until they play next season.

Gotta give credit to Johnson for recognizing which team in the conference is most important to the fan base. As someone else said, I think every new Bearz' HC says something about the Packers at his opening presser, and it's never flattering.

Then again, at 1-5 in the conference, there's not a lot of solid ground for GB to stand on. And while Favre and Rodgers were at QB, the Packers did "own" the Bearz and regularly beat down the Lions, probably split with the queens. So I can see where Johnson is coming from.

They still gotta play the games. As for the Packers, they have to do a lot better than 1-5 in the conference to retake bragging rights. Looks like that's gonna be tough in this conference for a while. I expect the Bearz to be a lot better next year, along with the Lions and queens. It will be a very tough conference again. And I expect the Packers will, at a minimum, split in the conference, and ideally beat the Bearz twice, as is custom.

Thanks for the stats. I never thought the Packers were seriously decimated by injuries at any one point in the season. Certainly the Lions D suffered the most injuries to starters, and it showed in the playoff loss to Washington.

There's really not much point in complaining about injuries. Even with the best strength and conditioning programs, injuries happen.

It's hard to remember that the Pack were in the NFC Championship Game in 2020 ... lost but still.

...and the Chiefs are the new Patriots.

...and I'd be wrong... he didn't lose 4 in a row. It was 4 in row personally... not consecutive seasons.
It's the old question, is the glass half full or half empty? Rodgers got to five NFCCGs. But he lost four of them. It's good to get there (it's more than Love has done so far), but to lose 80% of them? Ick.

Yeah the Chiefs and Mahomes may surpass the Patriots and Brady as the best team/QB/GOAT in the SB era.

As much as I don't want to see the Chiefs win another SB, I can't stand the Eagles. Maybe I'll just listen to some old Stones' music on SB Sunday.

At least some of NE's championships were spread out over time. The Chiefs might end up being even worse than the Patriots. Mahomes could end up with eight rings or more.
I think you mean "better" not "worse" - but it's easy to see your meaning, and you're right.

Like the Patriots, the Chiefs just know how to win. Time, place, weather, personnel changes, opponent - they just keep winning.

Since the cap was put in place (I forget the year) and Pete Rozelle created parity, I never thought a team could go on runs of dominance like the Pats and Chiefs. The law of averages says it just shouldn't happen. All I can attribute it to is 1) great and consistent talent selection and 2) great and consistent coaching. And by "consistent" I mean year after year, ad nauseam.
