rest for the starters? clearly not since the starters hardly play in the preseason. it's the rust factor from not playing that's the concern. the rest/injury concerns are for the backup/depth/rotational players who get the lion's share of the snaps in preseason.

Than you should be excited about the Packers playing on Thursday night to open the season, a few less days of rust build up! ;)

I fully expect the Packers as well as the Bears to be rusty for the season opener. Actually it takes all teams several weeks at the start of the season to perform at their desired level. The short week isn't an issue heading in week 1 though.

Yep. Maybe that will play to our advantage.

Nobody has mentioned how tough of an opener this is for the Bears! The Bears have only beat the Packers 3 times in the last 18 games! Their fans must be livid! :coffee:
