Why wasn't he hired right after Holmgren left instead of Ray Rhodes? Did Wolf really believe a guy who just got fired from Philadelphia turn into a better coach than Reid?

I heard people about wanting to bring him back now and it got me thinking, why didn't we give him the opportunity in January of 1999? I get the feeling Favre would have had another Super Bowl if Andy took over. Remember both him and Sherman (for the Packers when Wolf retired) took over as GM's for their teams in 2001.

I would like to see Andy Reid hired instead of Ray Rhodes only because we know the outcome was.
Hindsight

To me the biggest waste The Packers did was not winning another Super Bowl with Favre.
And guess what? It's happening again with Rodgers, except I doubt Favre never experience
a complete shut-down season that we just had in 2018

I don't think many people at the time realized how good of a head coach Reid would turn out to be.
