Well, this was fun last year so I decided to go ahead and launch it again this year. This time I will try and come up with some sort of playoff bracket buster when the playoffs come, but for now it's back to the regular season.
I am hoping to see MiamiBeachPacker again this year to defend the title. He won last year.
Scoring system will stay the same, but for anyone who does not remember, there's a point system both for picking winners, and the bonus for guessing the correct score. For picking the correct winners each game, this is how the scoring works:
1 point for 1 game picked correctly
2 for at least 2 right
3 for at least 3 right
4 for at least 4
Get at least half the week's picks right 10 points
Get 75℅ or more right 20 points
Miss only one pick 40 points
Get them all right and it's 50 points
And then guessing the correct score of games WITH THE CORRECT WINNERS
Get the final score right on one or more of your predictions and that's 100 points for each one you get right.
If you get very very lucky to get all the scores right, that's a 3000 point jackpot.
Basically, that score prediction bonus is a way for those who've maybe not done so well for several weeks to get back in it.
Also, just so we are clear ....
If you don't get a game winner predicted before kickoff, you do not get credit for that game.
BUT, you can make your predictions for any game so long as you do do it before kickoff. Like for example, if you didn't get all your scores in before Thursday and missed the Thursday night game but want to predict the rest of the week, or even if you forgot all the Sunday games but still want to try and get that one point for the Monday night game, you can do so. But every game not gotten by kickoff is a miss.
And poppa San usually watches to make sure nobody changes scores during kickoff lol.
So anyhow, without further ado, the 2019 NFL week 1 prediction thread is .... OPEN!!!!
