I predict his structure is something like $2.5M hit 2025 and $5.5M in 2026 with only like $2M guarantee and nearly nothing on the line in 2026....even the staunchest McDuffie critics cannot deny he's easily worth that.
There are an awful lot of guys who'll never be stars, but still are able to contribute. And fans are often quick to criticize them because there are weaknesses and shortcomings to their game. For most of those guys, it's not a simple question whether we should sign him or get rid of him - it's how much they cost, and whether they provide enough value to justify that salary. There's almost always some point where they're worth having on the roster as long as the price is right.

Can't agree with that. Some guys are better for the team by not being on the team.

Hardman signed a 1 year deal. It's probably a veteran minimum. I doubt there's anything guaranteed since he's certainly not a lock to make the team. At this point, he's a camp body that could make the team as a kick returner.

Hardman is listed at 5'10" and 178 pounds. That's way below the size the Packers like their receivers. He's a special teams addition. Even though he's even faster than Watson, with his diminutive size, I doubt he'd be looked at as some type of replacement for him. His production as a pass catcher has really waned but adding talent on the special teams is a need.

Like everyone I suppose; I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt and see if he can get open and hold on to the ball. It's a lot of speed. At that size, he has to be quick too.

I don't think he was signed with the intent of being a camp body.

While not the Packers 2025 roster, it is interesting to see how many former Packers are on UFL Rosters for 2025. Some names I barely recognize, but others like Sternberger and Amari Rodgers are nice to see, knowing they are still getting a chance to play football.

The Packers signed FA linebacker Kristian Welch. Welch spent the 2023 season on the Packer roster. Last year he split time between the Ravens and Broncos.

Above avg. teams player if memory serves. IMO will battle a late round pick for a spot on the 53.

Likely a Teams move. He did show pretty good in Camp and Preseason a couple years ago. I think he was a fringe player some in here picked to make our Roster.

Kristian Welch will probably replace what Eric Wilson did for the team, at a cheaper cost to boot. The Queens are paying Wilson $2.6M.

You would think Hopper is the hope on D to replace Wilson and Welch his replacement on teams. Welch is a nice hedge if Hopper is not ready. IMO.

Well....Hopper WAS a 3rd round pick, so there's that. :coffee:

Boy we sure struck out in Round 3 last season. Hopper pretty much was exclusive Teams (49% ST snaps vs 2% Defensive snaps) and Marshawn was exclusively warming the bench. I know it’s ideal to earn your Bill Murray Stripes, but it sure would be nice to see TyRon Hopper over to the Defensive side and reverse those 2 numbers.

A post with no home....

If you are missing watching Packer games on Sundays, check out this gem. It was the last game that the Packers played in Milwaukee, at the old County Stadium.

I am only part way into the game, but I can't help but notice just how much coverage of football has improved in the last 35 years! Oh and Joe Buck....he hasn't aged! :roflmao: That was his first season announcing games, at the ripe old age of 25...the youngest to ever get the full time gig.

I was at that game, upper deck 1st base side. REALLY fun game & part of GB lore. :)

Nice! Those kinds of games are definitely great memories. I had forgotten how it ended and won't spoil it for others. :roflmao:

Another game prior to their Super Bowl season, that forged Favre's place in Packer history.
