The Athletic mocked Texas WR Michael Golden to GB at #23. I don't know anything about the guy aside from a 4.29 sec 40 at the combine.

Even if this guy is worthy of a #23 pick, I just don't see Gluten taking a WR day one. More like a DT/DL/CB.

I am relieved Gluten didn't fall for giving Metcalf the 5 year, $150 mil deal the Steelers gave him.

As for our WR group, I never saw any "hate" on hear for the group. Not even close. I think we expected they would advance after a very good 2023 campaign. They didn't and the reasons are many. It's still a solid unit, if Doubs can play and Wicks solves his drops. Big "ifs". Watson will be missed, so sign MVS or better, a young, fast WR on day two - well if there is one.

Chasing Hendrickson from the Bengals doesn't make sense anymore. He's 30 , and that might be ok, but he's gonna want Garrett money, or close to it, and cost draft capital. Hard pass on that.

And as for Adams going to the Rams, well that move just makes sense for everyone involved.

We'll get a better sense for what Gluten wants to do in FA this week. He still has all his cards, and this year, that may be the best strategy. Time to go bargain hunting.

Josh Palmer WR signed with Bills for three years for $36M a year. he also was a guy somewhat on my radar.

GEESH expensive.
Typical free agency where guys usually get anywhere from 10 to 25% more than theyre worth. Too many teams with cap chasing too few players.

Thanks Amish. I really don't know enough about OL play to say there is a huge difference between playing T, G, and/or C. The Packers have preferred this flexibility, and for the most part it's worked out.
Me either. They say Zabel could play center and be a day one starter for the Packers. But other similar OTs they don't project that. Maybe there is some kind of squat index out there that I don't know about that projects how explosive a guy is from a squatting (hiking) posture? Or maybe you just can't have too thick of thighs so the ball can move cleanly between your legs. Who knows?

GREEN BAY SIGNED - Aaron Banks Guard from the 49ers. *FYI, he was by consensus the best guard in FA....

Suspect this might strengthen the thought Jenkins to center....or Rhyan really who also took snaps.

I am guessing you mean 12mill per year. 36 total. After the D. Brown contract and now this I just don't see Gute signing a WR until after the draft. Still out there besides MVS. The other Brown (Noah) the other Watson (Justin) and the other 3 initial guy KWI (Titans). Depending what type of receiver they get in the draft they could add one of these guys relatively cheap.

Slayton is likely closer to $20M a year than $15M like I thought.....

I'm looking at MVS deeper into FA as a more and more attractive option.

Not sure if it was mentioned yet, but Byron Murphy is still under contract until tomorrow, so he can't participate in the legal tampering today.
