Man, every time one of these insiders drop a mock, I go back and look at their track record with the Packers' picks over the last ~5 years and NO ONE gets anything right for Green Bay.

Jeremiah called Quay Walker in 2022. Among Schrager, Boris, Jeremiah, Zierlein, Donahue, McCrystal, etc. that's it and that's all.

If you want to be right, don't project anyone who is a popular name among mock drafters.

Which is oddly why I think these could be my predictions if we sit at 23 if we think the trend of no one getting it continues:

WR - Jayden Higgins
DL - Darius Alexander
ED - JTT
CB - Shavon Revel
OL - Conerly Jr (the guy you all know I LOVE...and immediately moves Morgan to our guard of the future)
iOL - Grey Zabel

Based on our history with first rounders, maybe Gute should start listening to these mocks once in a while.

Yes, if Gute could get more impact out of round 1, that would essentially close the loop on being an overall stellar GM. He manages the roster really well, is great with free agency, finds a lot of gems further down in the draft, but the first rounders haven't been what they ought to be.

He relies on potential due to athleticism too much in the 1st. Just needs to draft guys that can play now vs next year or later in their career.

Gary, LVN, and Love were clearly long-term investments in guys who weren't going to be ready right away. Walker was somewhat like that, but most linebackers are because of how that position functions in CFB. His other picks, imo, haven't been long term projects.

I'm fine with that when drafting late, but in the top half, it seems like a waste of draft position, when we aren't in that area of the draft very often (Gary and LVN)
