Game comes down to a game winning 40yd+ FG, by our illustrious kicker and he nails it!
Wait, the Packers picked up Crosby on Waivers? :coffee:

Now THAT would be a fitting end to a Packers-Cowboy game in Dallas.

This is starting to feel like the 2010 Season when the Packers had to go down to Atlanta and play the #1 seeded Falcons. Nobody gave the Packers a chance. I hope this game has the same type of result, as well as the 3 games after it. :coffee:

If we beat the Dallas Cowboys in the first round of the playoffs with our next-gen QB stud, I think the authorities in North Texas will need to put out an APB for a welfare check of all Dallas/Fort Worth area residents …

Well don't forget that we were underdogs on the road against the Eagles first! That was a fun season because we consistently beat expectations. The Atlanta game was a hoot to watch but the glory came in watching Lovie Smith bench Cutler over a fictitious "knee injury" in the Championship game. We won a nail biter in Philly, on the fast track in Atlanta, on a cold and sloppy day in Chicago, and then were ready for whatever came our way in Dallas.

Not at all, that fanbase has sadly grown quite accustom to playoff let downs. A lot like GB in the past decade or so.

I will say this. The Cowboys team and fan base have a lot higher expectations for their 2023 season than the Packers. In my mind we are playing on house money right now and whether it is 0-4 wins ahead for the Packers, it has been a very successful and satisfying season.

I wouldn't say their expectations are any higher this year than my last three times I had 12 under center and we were in the playoffs.

Right. I was comparing the 2023 expectations of both teams to each other.

But you are correct, prior to 2022, the Packer team and fan base had many years of Super Bowl expectations.

I actually hope it comes down to it. I had more faith in Crosby in Dallas in January than I did in Lambeau from 50 plus. Incidentally, if this game was at Lambeau this Sunday check the game time temps. Remind you of 07.

My point is, similar to our rivals in the NFC North, they’ve seen Rodgers as a boogeyman and are finally glad to be rid of him (except for the off-chance of playing the Jets in the near future).

If Love similarly crushes their hopes, I think they will be rather distraught. This is supposed to be their year. The Jerry-Jimmy feud curse is lifted.

I’m not saying it’s gonna happen (a Packers’ win). But there’s always a chance.

I know a lot of Dallas fans, and their expectations are pretty dang high right now. Dak is playing at his full potential and they are hosting playoff games at home, where they’ve been beating everybody. Trust me, they think this is finally the year.

I can't speak to your expectations specifically, but Dallas fans will likely be calling for a change at HC and possibly QB if once again the Cowboys fail to make a significant advance towards the SB. I doubt that a majority of the GB fan base was thinking that way any of the last times that Rodgers was our QB.

When I first heard this, I couldn't believe it. But, thank you for confirming.
I heard they need to reach the Conference Final for Mike to retain his job.
The Cowboy faithful were not happy with 42-10 loss to the 49ers during the season.

Not sure if this has been posted, so will put it here.

Interesting Cowboys vs. Packers playoff fact:

Dak Prescott led the NFL with 36 Pass TD during the regular season, while Jordan Love ranked 2nd with 32.

This is the 1st time in NFL history the outright top-2 leaders in Pass TD meet in a playoff opener.
because teams with the 1st and 2nd ranked qb for td passes at least 1 of them probably had a bye.

Oh and there is no such thing as house money. Once you win it it is your money.

Dallas took care of business last week and demolished a pretty mediocre Wahington team. That's the way you want to go into the playoffs.

Dallas is the more veteran team, they have a ton of talent, and they're playing at home. They should win. They are expected to.

They've been in that position before, however, and have always found a way to screw it up...That said, I expect Dallas to play well on Sunday. This might be their best team since the Aikman era.

Green Bay, however, can score some points, especially in a dome. Jordan Love is awesome. An upset is possible.

Go Pack Go!

The Eagles will not be around to thwart them. But whether they can get by Frisco is still in question. Back in the 90s the Cowboys got us 3 years in a row before we made it to the top.

Send MM home and they will believe they can beat anyone. Hell, they are just too young and dumb to realize they aren't supposed to be here.

Believing you can beat anyone is half the battle. Beating Chicago and Dallas back to back is about the most satisfying thing I can imagine personally. They might just be too stupid to lose.

How much better than the dude from Detroit? Hutchins is it? Did Danielle Hunter play 2 weeks ago?
Hutchins only scares the crap out of me. That happens pretty much everyday. I only get the bejezus scared out of me once in a great while. I hope this helps.
