As of early 2023, there were close to a dozen cruise ships operating in the Great Lakes. Their season starts in late May, and ends about Labor Day, or shortly after, because of temps on the lakes. But, that could signal that several of these ships could spend the winter harbored in Green Bay. Whether or not they would require water agitation units to keep the hulls from being damaged by the ice, I don't know, but I think using them is a distinct possibility. I can picture them selling one week onboard packages, without leaving the harbor, for up to $1,000 a night, with double occupancy on up, and if they have 600 cabins to rent, we're talking .... let's say 6 nights, $12,000 per room, that's a grand total of $7,200,000, plus they'd have their bar sales, etc. Maybe even additional charges for meals. We're talking one heckuva lot of money out there for a short span of time. The cost of a six-day tour in August is roughly $6,300 a head, including meals, so I see no reason why they can't do even better while docked in Green Bay. Anyway, that's my take on the potential of using the boats. Imagine 5 of them with a 600 to 800 capacity. That's 3,000 to 4,000 more rooms, and food venues as well. Tell someone that something is impossible, and there will always be that one person out there who looks at it, and decides they can make money off of it. That's when they look at a friend and say; "Hold my beer!"
