My uncle lives in Appleton. He made the decision not to renew his three seats. He also knows of many others not planning to renew. The increases, status quo, boring team has led to these decisions.

Will you be renewing your tickets as STH's ( Assuming you are one)? Why or why not? Unlike Harlan and Wolf, this organization has become complacent and is OK with the status quo. They think fans will show up regardless.

The Packers just finished one of the more exciting seasons I can remember in my lifetime. Fell a tad short, but how anyone could call this season boring is beyond me. It had absolutely everything one could, or should expect, as a fan. The expectations, the adversity, the team rallying together and overcoming. The coaches keeping it together. We saw true character and spirit that make sports worth watching and rooting for and your uncle and many others found it too boring to maintain one of the most coveted tickets on earth? 3 people on that list will thank him and the "many others" just like him i know that.

The Giants game I went to was one of the best i've ever been to, and i was there when Favre was spitting blood and threw a TD and GB won it's first division titled in the Holmgren Favre eara. The game was great and the energy was some of the best i've been around. Nobody sat or stopped cheering from the flyover till the fat lady sang. I hope more people feel like your uncle. Maybe I won't have to wonder where i'll be sitting during the season in my lifetime if enough people give them up LOL

Lambeau Field has been sold out since 1960 dispite having many losing seasons in the '70's and 80's. The Packer season ticket waiting list is a over 100,000.

There are no guarantees. If the team goes in the dumps, prices keep rising, whose to say people will keep going to games?

Soon there may be three persons on the waiting list that should be very happy.

Boring team?

That's one thing I would not expect anyone to say about this year's Packers.

That winning streak was one of the most fun times I've ever had as a fan.

Going to all the games just doesn't appeal to me but then again I am not a season ticket holder so I can say that. I think its also safe to say that if I were a season ticket holder I would probably feel differently otherwise I wouldn't have gotten on the list in the first place so if I had cared enough to have gotten on the list ad waited this long I would probably have to say yes, I would renew them.

Of course I might be that guy who renewed them, went to 1 or 2 choice games and sold the others for a profit but who knows.

How do we know how legit the "list" is though? Packers don't charge a fee ( unlike most teams) to remain on it. Therefore, people may not bother grabbing tickets even when their turn is up.

Shouldn't have used "Boring". Unlike the 90's Packers ( Favre, Reggie, Butler, Howard) there are not many " characters" on the team.

Unbelievable.

Anyone who wants to turn in season tickets now, was never a Packer fan to begin with. Im glad they are turning them in so a real fan can now go.

I hope your Uncle becomes a Bears fan. Maybe then he can understand how good the Packer organization is. Its mind boggling how foolish people can be with their expectations of the Packers.

Yup, it'd be so much easier on some of us to not expect more from a team that set a record for consecutive playoffs without a SB appearance. Be happy with our Playoff Participation trophies when rooting for a team with perhaps the best player ever at the most important position?

While I don't have season tickets, I enjoy the Packers season from start to finish and this includes the off season as well as playoff games. So for me, its 365 days of "free" entertainment. Sure, I would LOVE a SB victory to cap off every season and understand the disappointment some feel when we fall short. But for me, not getting that 1 win during one day of the year in a given season, doesn't ruin the other 364 days of being a Packer fan.

I really wish I could do that. People appreciate a lot of things that I don't, and I more-or-less understand them, but I just can't feel it. Perhaps the key word is 'entertainment' - I have never been able to enjoy seasons ending short of where I thought they would. If you've got a couch, what do you charge for sports fan counseling? :)

OK, will take a stab at it ;)

View each season of Packer football as a "great date with a person". All the fun in planning, prepping and fantasizing about where this date will ultimately lead. Picking her up, a surprise kiss on the cheek, maybe a better view of her backside. Oh no she likes to shop, regroup! Awesome conversation, ok her giggle is awkward, but she laughs at all my jokes......as the night goes on, lots of great moments and few questionable ones. Overall, a very fun night! But at the end of the night, you don't quite get to end it where you wanted to and you end up alone at home taking a cold shower.

Ok, now I am depressed!

I guess if you are married, this example is probably not a good one and the Packers will for the most part, end every night with a headache. ;)

Ok.. I'll give him the cost, but anything after that is just eyebrow raising.

There is no personality. Favre was always a good quote. Reggie White was larger than life.

Prices keep getting raised.
It might be true that the Packers were more enjoyable for fans with Harlan, Wolf and Holmgren being the primary front office personnel as the current one doesn´t seem to care that much about public relations. Here´s a link to McGinn´s article about the special 1996 squad:

http://www.jsonline.com/story/sport...rsonalities-made-96-packers-special/97398838/

That team was special. From start to finish they dominated. Wolf spoke his mind and the team had character.

Best player ever? Rodgers holds into the ball too long sometimes. We should trade him and see what we have in his backup. Dont like that? Then I guess you are happy with not winning the superbowl. We need to find perfection in a Qb and not settle for someone not a complete and perfect player.

That's why they make smilies, but in this case, I have no idea what the point is.

I am going to assume you are joking and forgot to put the /s at the end.
