As a workaround would it possible to ignore the posts but not the threads started by the person on ignore? I don't know if that can be done or not but it is a thought. It may not even be possible or worth the effort it would take to program it. Actually I like it. An ignore feature that truly ignores someone. On a bunch of the other forums I am on if you have someone on ignore their threads still show up but when you click on them it brings up a message that says "you can not read this post because you have the user on ignore" What is the point of an ignore feature if the persons threads still show up. Heck, I can not read them on my own its just that the offending ones will post 2 dozen threads in a row or more and fill up a page and the sites only return so many new posts threads. I can see where it can be an issue with a purely discussion forum such as this but the forums I am talking about are a mix of discussion and for sale items so the for sale items tend to dominate the new posts. The offending posters are big time dealers and post dozens of ads at a time and never take part in any of the discussions. I don't know if I have any users on their forum on ignore. I think a better function would be the opportunity to place big red X and the caption "warning ******** ahead" banner at the top of the ignored persons posts. As it is I go down the threads and read them and I rarely look at identity of the person posting. I only check if something stands out to me and I want to know "who the heck just said that"
