Just saw this online and here. What an addition to the coaching staff Vrabel would be. I'm actually surprised that he didn't land a HC job in the NFL or with a college team. Whatever the Packers can get out of him would be a plus, I just don't think he would stick around for very long.

Vrabel and Fickell were teammates at Ohio State and coached together there as assistants, so there is definitely some history and friendship between the 2.

Interesting enough, they could pay him as an advisor, like the Illini have been doing with Leonhard. It might be helpful. Vrabel wouldn't have to give up his salary for getting dumped. He might lose some offsetting bucks, but that will be a drop in the bucket.
