Why do the NFL teams bring in Rugby coaches (as assistants) to teach tackling.
I am curious as why the do not do this.
I live in england and see a lot of amateur Rugby players who love NFL say Rugby tackling would work even against guys like Gronk,Lynch etc.
Again this is not meant to upset any one i am just curious.

Lol why should it upset anyone? I have no idea if it’s a good idea or not, but I’m definitely in favor of anything that will improve tackling in the NFL... I’m very tired of seeing dbacks bounce off a running back or receiver simply because they didn’t bother to wrap up the ballcarrier.

When my son was a junior in high school, he was a starting DB for his high school team. The following spring he started his first season for their rugby team and they went on to win the state title. His senior year of high school he was a tackling beast on the football team. Rugby made a huge difference for him!
