They additionally gave up several 40-burgers including a late season blowout loss week 12 to MN.Their D allowed an average of 37 pts/gm. in those 4 contests against GB, Dallas (twice) and NE during regular season.I remember very well that NY was similarly “all but written off” by experts and us novices alike, but they squeezed in as a 10-6 wildcard as a 5th seed NFC.They then found their mojo and in irony went on to defeat both Dallas and then GB en route to playing the Pats. We all know now how they crushed the hopes of the undefeated Patriots. Btw, the average score of the 3 above playoff caliber Offenses who lost?? 17 points.I would imagine there were a lot of embarrassed Giants fans after initially speaking similarly about the demise of their own team.It’s not how you start the game.. it’s how you finish the season</blockquote>
