There are two possibilities - he was malicious in his intent, or his awareness is that bad that he didn’t realize the ball was gone two steps back. Just making a wild assumption that a player with that poor of awareness wouldn’t be on a starting roster, there’s no option left. He wanted to lay a hurting on Rodgers when the rules gave him the opportunity to. He probably wasn’t trying to cause serious or permanent damage. But to say his intent was anything other than hurting Rodgers is naive in my mind.</blockquote>
