Re: Ron Wolf finally speaks regarding "lost season" Net...yes, he did bring in some players...but you could apply the law of averages to that. Kinda like if you give a monkey a typewriter and enough time he may eventually write Shakespeare. Yes, MS did some good: Green, Walker, Barnett, Grady, Harris. But the killer for him was his tunnel vision on players he deemed "the one", and the bounty of draft picks he threw away to get them. The many 4th - 7th picks he gave away are where teams are build these days. Trade up by giving away a pick for Hunter Hillenmeyer...only to be cut later to save a spot for BJ Sander. Cost us a 6th and 7th in the end! All Hillenmeyer did at Vandy was be a tackling machine who was cerebral and thoroughly understood what was happening on the field. He is now a starter on the best defense to come down the pike in some years in Chicago. All said, when it is put in the scale, his failures outweight his success as GM..and I will not even include JJ as most GMs in the league were clamoring for the guy...just an unfortunate situation. But, where C. Hunt is concerned...you knew that was a bad deal the day it was signed!
