Home Wins, 6- 49'rs,Bills,Colts,Steelers,Ravens,Titans.
Home Loss's 6- Dolphins,Bears,Bengals,Saints,Eagles,Redskins.
Away Wins 4- Cowboys,Falcons,Pats,Seahawks.
Away Loss's 12-Jets,Lions,Raiders,Panthers,Browns,Bucs,Rams,Broncos,Texans,Jags,Pack,Giants.

Away loss's make sense but the Home wins after a team's bye week is telling.
Amazing how the Seahawks can lose many starters and still come back with tough opponents and win.

That's a small sample size though. Teams are a combined 163-151-2 (.519) after a bye over the past 10 seasons.

That's a small edge, equivalent to a team getting one extra win over 4 seasons.

8-8 + 8-8 + 8-8 + 9-7 = 33-31 = 0.516

The chief benefit of a week off would seem to be getting healthier. This could be offset by some temporary loss of focus and intensity.

I just put it out there as the original poster suggested teams struggle after the bye week because of going 10-18 this season.
