Here is a interesting stat. I went back 40 yrs, back to 1978, and these two teams have met 26 times, including 5 playoff meetings. For awhile these teams met in consecutive years, 1993-1997 with 3 playoff meetings. 2007-2010, 2014-2017.
I guess you can consider these teams rivals.

ICE BOWL anyone? The 90's playoff meetings were demoralizing. Don't know any true pack fans that don't enjoy beating Dallas. The rivals are truly in the north.
