Enter Ezeiruaku. Pros: Highly productive (45.5 career TFL, including 30 sacks, 8 career FF); highly athletic (81st% broad, 88th% vert, 96th% 3C and shuttle); highly nuanced; plus length (34" arms; 6'10"+ wingspan); durable (didn't miss a game to injury in his final three seasons at BC) committed & known quantity (spent four years at BC, three of them under Jeff Hafley). Cons: Lacks the power to bull rush and deal with blockers in his frame (6025, 248#).

Ezeiruaku checks virtually every box you could want checked and is my favorite prospect in this class. If he was an inch taller and 10 lbs heavier, he's a top 10 prospect. The Packers typically like bigger defensive ends, but they reportedly had a lot of interest in Will McDonald, who was very similar (6040, 239 w/ 35" arms w/ 42 career TFL). He would bring a skill-set to the DE room that currently doesn't exist. I believe they're willing to have a guy on the roster at the position who is undersized, but that player needs to be a true asset as a pass rusher. That is definitely Ezeiruaku. Comp-- Will McDonald IV.

2.54: Alfred Collins, DT, Texas-- I believe that the Packers are very interested in Derrick Harmon, so in this scenario they end up with a discount version in round 2. More importantly for the present, he could help replace Slaton's snaps at the 1T and develop into the future replacement of Kenny Clark. Comp-- DaQuan Jones.

3.87: Tory Horton, WR, Colorado State-- This is a little high for Horton against consensus, but I think he's a guy who will rise in the media. At 6024, 196# he jumped 37.5" and ran a 4.46 coming off a knee injury that cut short his 2024 season. Furthermore, he's been a highly effective punt returner over his career (26 returns for 423 yards and 3 touchdowns-- 16.3 average), which is a good indicator of applied athleticism. He's been in college for five years, but he's still only 22 and was good immediately for Nevada. He's 6050, 312# with 32.5" arms; he had a 7.43 3C and a 4.49 shuttle (they typically want guys below 7.8 and 4.8 respectively). He has started 16 games at left tackle, 2 at left guard, 1 at right guard, and 36 at right tackle. He has the combination of size, strength, and movement skills to do whatever you want in the running game. He's actually very similar to Aaron Banks, but with more tackle experience. Most see him as a guard at the next level due to length, but GB is generally less concerned about that than most. With uncertainty brewing at both tackle (Walker) and guard (Rhyan), he would be an ideal player to add to the mix. Comp-- Aaron Banks w/ tackle feet.

5.159: Chimere D.ike, WR, Florida-- D.ike was one of the few players at the combine who elected to perform a full workout. More importantly, he would bring some vertical ability to the receiver room (18.4 YPR in 2024; 16.3 for his career). He's very similar to Darius Slayton coming out of Auburn and I have him going here in a similar range of the draft. Comp-- Darius Slayton.

6.???: Justin Walley, CB, Minnesota-- This is late for the Packers to be drafting their first corner, but I can see them waiting longer than people expect. Bullard is also going to see a lot of the snaps in the slot. Furthermore, all four players will be under contract in 2026 as well. So there isn't a pressing immediate need, nor is there a big issue going into next season. For those reasons, I could see them backfill the depth without worrying about immediate impact.
I don't need a whole new thread, but here's a mock draft scenario for the Packers: -Sign Mo Alie-Cox to a modest deal as the blocking specialist at TE. -Trade Jaire Alexander for a 6th round pick. 1.23: Donovan Ezeiruaku, DE, Boston College-- This class is very deep at defensive end, but I think waiting could be a mistake-- there's likely to be a huge run at the position in the top 40.
