I've heard a ton of rumblings from guys I trust that Egbuka may very well be THE surprise guy that Gute & Co. really want. With that in mind let's run a mock, and to keep things interesting I didn't force anything according to my board, but I did try and pick a few names no one has heard me discuss before. 1.19 - Gute Trades With Buccs, sending them 1.13 / 4.124 / R5-2026 for their 1.19 Emeka Egbuka / WR / Ohio State Gute shocks the fanbase, proving that WR has always been a position they would do in the first, just had to be for the guy. Won't waste a ton of space here as he's been discussed a decent amount of times elsewhere. In short in my opinion he is WR2, he also is VERY good in the slot - fully capable out wide and absolutely in my opinion could be the poor man's Justin Jefferson type guy. Yes, I believe he is that good. Gute had to get in front of some WR possible teams and had to make it happen. *2.54 Traded away. GB sends 2.54 / R6-2027 to JAX who sends us 3.70 / 4.107 / R4-2026* 3.70 - Elijah Roberts EDGE SMU So Elijah is a bigger (285lbs) but very bendy and athletic mauler that started expanding his pass rush abilities this last year to multi-style attacks. Massive success at pass rush win rate too (very very few were better) at 22.4% and created 60 total pressures according to PFF and 71 last year. Everyone get ready to lose your mind...he is a bigger, strong profile athlete not a ton unlike LVN. Excellent run defender, so not just adding some pressure creation but a true edge setter. 3.87 Ty Robinson DL Nebraska So, it was just a tick early for a Jamaree Caldwell type 1tech middle type, and Burch was long gone...but Ty, not only has a sweet name :) , but is a guy built similar to Jordan Burch, tick shorter arms but bigger hands and just a bit more weight on his frame. Ty is incredibly strong and he showcases that mixture with his hands often times reading and shedding would be blockers on reps. His explosive testing mixed with his non-stop motor has me and I bet many teams overlooking his being an older prospect (he'll be 24 his rookie season). He had always been a starting level college guy, but 2024 he really refined a lot and broke out...his pressure/win rates blossomed with a growth of attack plans to get home exhibited in 2024 and no longer was just a strong pocket pusher but a true pressure creator while working inside the tackles. 4.107 Jamaree Caldwell DL Oregon The TJ Slaton replacement is hopefully here. Just an incredible run defender for years, the past couple however his win rate on pass rushes and pressures exploded...a rare thing for a guy that I envision working over the center a lot. Like Ty above, he won't be forced into use unless he shows capable in year 1 (predict Clark plays inside more this year)...but wouldn't be shocked at all if by end of the year he is providing a true amount of helpful snaps. 5.159 Logan Brown OT Kansas Right tackle for Kansas, Brown has the movement skills and the typical GB type build to slide inside if they really wanted him to...but with his length and skillset I kinda think he'd be given a chance to first be a tackle depth option for the future (post Walker era, regardless of side for him). 6.198 Elijhah Badger WR Florida Gute sees a versatile weapon and receiver that he likes and sends a message especially to Heath and Melton that competition is more than coming and a battle for positions is about to happen. Badger was a Sun Devil for years before last year at Florida. At ASU he putup 135 receptions just shy of 1600 yards and 10 TDS between 2022 and 2023. 7.50 Marques Sigle S Kansas State Everyone knows I love Parrish but watching his film had me watching a lot of Sigle too....and he is every bit of Sunday worthy as Parrish albeit to a lesser degree. A North Dakota State transfer to KSU the shift of levels dare I say actually made him better??
