Well, Rodgers did not do a good job of running the offense last year. I had hoped that it was just a lack of familiarity, and that in year two it would click for him and everyone else. And maybe it still will. But my best guess is that "what's going on" is that LaFleur wants the pieces to run the offense that he was hired to bring to Green Bay. But there's also a factor that's much more obvious-- if they think Love is a future franchise QB, then I understand why they would take him a year early and figure it out. The kid needs a year or two anyways, and when you're a good team and will be picking in the 2nd half of round one for the foreseeable future, you can't decide when a QB prospect like that will fall to you. As to the other picks, they absolutely fit. They're not what I wanted, but the fits are clear. Dillon is a clone of Derrick Henry in terms of style, size, and athleticism. In terms of how he runs, you almost couldn't draw up a more appropriate style for a team that wants to run mostly inside and outside zone. Deguara is the h-back that this offense uses to operate, a la Juszczyk in SF. He's going to replace Vitale and, I would guess based on a 3rd round investment, expand that role quite a bit.
