When Packers (or any team) have their eye on a certain coach from another team, can the other team deny a interview??
This confuses me because many times in the past I hear coaches interviewing else where while employed.

Ex: Remember Mike Holgram going to the Seahawks and dam near taking half his coaching staff along.

What gives?

just depends on contracts, when the season ends for a team etc.

If an assistant is under contract the team can deny interview requests unless it is for a head coach position.

Yeah, but he did leave a couple of half eaten sandwiches in the Lambeau lunch room. It's not as though he took everything.

CBS Sports just reported the Seahawks denied permission to talk to Schneider

And remember that SB we lost to when Porky Mike accepted that coaching job in Seattle?
The Seahawks check book in Mike's pocket was so heavy he lost track of downs in the game.

Yeah...and the Pack denied permission to talk to him. Didn't stop Seattle though. Pack filed tampering complaints and nothing happened. One year later, Seattle gets him anyway. The call of the greenbacks, man....
