Green Bay was rolling, and Favre and the team wanted badly to go for it, but Sherman sent out the punt team. Instead of doubling down, he folded, and Philadelphia got the ball back. A minute and a half later, they converted that damned 4th and 26, and went on to win the game. The 4th and 26 wasn't the whole story of that game; the 4th and 1 a minute earlier was just as much the story as the 4th and 26. The players were not happy about it at all, and there were some bitter remarks made in the locker room after the game. Some of the players said they felt betrayed; they'd done their part, and fought hard, but felt their coach didn't believe in them. I think one of the defensive backs was particularly upset about it, but can't recall which one. Maybe someone else will remember that. But when Sherman was fired a year later, some of the players said that Eagles game was where he started to lose the team.</blockquote>
