Has there ever been a year in the NFL Draft where no team took a QB in the 1st round, I only because I found out no kicker was taken throughout the whole 2010 draft haha

Modern era, I don't think so. I believe also that 2008 was the only year nobody took a WR 1st round.

in 1973 a kicker was picked in the first round
In 2000, a kicker was picked 17th overall. What kind of fool would take a kicker halfway through the first round, you ask? Look no further than Al Davis and Da Raiders!!! :happy0005:

We are on the same page. I posted that in in 1973 a kicker was picked in the first round. You correctly pointed out that in 2000, a kicker was picked in the first round.
Al Davis in both cases.

Now normally you can get a kicker right at the end. why did he take 1 with the 17th pick of the draft?
