Did you hear the ex-German player who was doing color commentary for FS2go during the Augsburg v Bayern match. He said that if a team wants to beat Bayern, they are going to have to physically hurt some of the players. Then he paused and back tracked for a second and said; "I'm not saying any player should go into a match with the intent to hurt another player." But then he went right back to saying, but against Bayern you have to make them hurt physically so they don't want to play the rest of the match or later in the season.

But he only slightly caught on that Augsburg wasn't pressing Bayern until late in the match. What we are seeing from this Bayern team is that if you sit back and just defend, hoping for a quick counter, Bayern will eventually score. But teams that pressed them ******* both halves of the pitch, like Atletico or even Koeln, are more successful. Now if a football novice like me can see this, why don't Bundesliga managers see it?

Yeah that was some pretty reckless commentary.

I can't stand that guy. Every time he is on a Bayern game all he does is complain about Bayern. If he is who I think, I'm pretty sure he is an ex-dortmund player, so maybe he hasn't quite gotten over it yet :p

You and Bundesbiers should get together to watch tomorrow's match. ;):devilish:
He certainly had more fun without me and I really hope he enjoyed the win.
As I wrote - I avoid watching HSV games at the moment when I can, it hurts too much to see what players and management have done to my team and club.
I turned off after the first half because I knew what was coming. I can't stand these shameless and selfish a**holes anymore. I'll certainly be back in Liga 2 but until then I'm trying to use the ostrich policy and lots of beers on game days :D

I hope that red and yellow cards can be appealed.

Anthony Modeste hand ball was no where near a yellow card.
I don't think Bobby Wood deserved a red card either.

I hope both cards are appealed and overturned.

Lahm is hinting again that he might retire at the end of this season :(

I know it has to happen sooner or later, but I'm still gonna be sad when it does.

Badstuber played with Bayern II last night. He hasn't been demoted, just trying to get him fit. He is happy with it and admits he is only about 90% right now.

Top 10 goals so far this season....

I think, for me, the Modeste goal is #1. That was just an absolutely insane touch. Bruce Lee style goal. #2 is that Alonso goal to open the season. An absolute masterclass in form.

Which do you think should be tops?

I like both of the ones you mentioned above but goals #2 (Gnabry) and #3 The Eintracht Frankfurt blast were really great.

Bayern will have Robben ready, may even have Boateng and Ribery available for Der Klassiker

Bayern strangely reverse course, now say Robben and Martinez will not be available (nor will Coman, but he's out the rest of the year, so that was obvious).

Nobody can stay on top forever. This a good win for BVB, also good for the Bundesliga. At least the target will be taken off of Bayern's chest for a little. Der Klassiker is odd and fun to watch because so many of the players on both teams seem to be good friends, yet rivals.

A team that never existed 6-7 years ago is top of the highest league in Germany. Normally id be full of praise for this however when its all down to soulless corporate mega hard cash its a bit pants really.

Agreed. Not only is it mega cash fueling the rise, it's a poisonous drink they are making money on. Seriously, beer is more healthy than Red Bull.

Scientifically true without a shadow of a doubt. There are quite honestly ZERO benefits from drinking Red Bull, and a TON of problems that come from it.

I haven't seen the science behind it, but I believe you 100%. It's pure gut rot as we say in the US. Do you Scots/English/Germans use the term "gut rot"?
