I think what the French and the Americans have in common is that they are universally disliked around the world. We here in Canucklestan may be the only culture who could be deemed friends to either of them. The main difference here being that the French are okay with the unpopularity, even to the point of wallowing in it, whereby the USians are largely perplexed by it. Germans were pretty good with the US until Snowden revealed that the NSA was tapping Merkel's cellphone. Now that relationship is shot too! Oh well. :D

This French surrender myth is largely perpetrated by the second ugliest kid in the class pointing a finger. French people don't put up with shet from their governments, or they start burning tires in the street. Their governments in turn don't put themselves into shet that they can't extradite themselves from. Better to be saddled with a Freedom Fries reputation than ISIL!

The French manufacture military dirty tricks that the Israelis buy and pay for with American money. :D

Canucks HAVE to be friendly in order to get good beer. The best they have is that Molson stuff....:eek:

Or "Moose p**s" as we prefer to call it. They do make a fantastic beer in Quebec which is practically blood red, but superb.

Well when the one of the cogs of the wheel that is the government monopoly which sells it goes on strike... it becomes the ONLY beer!

I am going to leave beer culture fully in the hands of that other Bolttalk refugee I dragged over here. As patriotic as he is, I still think he was born in the wrong place. :D

Some people swear I was born in Germany. Unfortunately, I have no proof of it.

Canada has a couple of decent breweries, although they seem to be saddled with the Quebecois, which is of no interest to me. I went to microbreweries in Toronto, Ottawa, and Vancouver. None of them were really bad, but all their beers were heavily malt based, very little bitterness. Even their IPA's had hardly any hops which seemed weird why they would make an IPA in the first place.

All the good breweries in Quebec seem to fascinate their beers with the Belgian/French style ales, including sours. Not a big fan of beers anymore that taste like a farm, although I used to enjoy it.

Transfer window is closing and Bayern haven't done anything to boost their back line. Hmmmm..... After the way Wolfsburg exposed our slow back line, I wouldn't be surprised to see FCB drop a few places. At least Wolfsburg showed that the Bundesliga can still be anybody's game.

It's definitely too early to hit the panic button, Croak. :D Bayern will win the league easily, wish we had their "problems" :whistling:;)

These things tend to go in cycles. Hamburg's glory will return.

With the great Traditionsmannschaften HSV, VfB and BVB making up the bottom three, you have to wonder which of those clubs will be competing in the 2. Bundesliga next year. Werder Bremen isn't safe either. I hope for nessie's sake it isn't HSV. I have to think that one of the big clubs... (if not two)... will be relegated.

---
Maybe the way that HSV steers clear of a match at the Millerntor is for FC St. Pauli to be relegated as well. :D

Red card for Jerome Boateng in the 18th minute and Schalke misses the penalty kick. Oh my. Bayern down a man for a 70+ minutes.

As I know your German is perfect please allow me to say it in my language Sandolf- Mir geht der Arsch schon jetzt wieder auf Grundeis (German saying for being scared for the non-Germans speakers among us), ich habe echt Angst das das in die Hose geht. :(
Looks really terrible at the moment and perhaps it's just time for us after more than 51 years of 1. Bundesliga. We were lucky last season, that wont happen a second time. We need to collect enough points by ourselves this time.
But if we will be relegated I'd prefer playing St.Pipi instead of having them relegated too. I love Derby games....:D
