@mhnessie Your thoughts on this? I'm currently on the fence. It's increasingly difficult to ascend (aufstieg) out of 4.Regionalliga's.

Momentan steht wieder das Thema der Relegation in Liga 4 zur Debatte.
Einige, unter anderem Rainer Koch (DFB-Vizepräsident), fordern eine Zweiteilung der 3.Liga, sodass Staffelsieger aus den Regionalligen auch tatsächlich aufsteigen können, ohne vorher eine Relegation spielen zu müssen.
Andererseits steht die Idee zu 4 Abstiegsplätzen in der 3.Liga im Raum. Gleichzeitig müssten die Regionalligen in 4 Staffeln aufgeteilt werden. So würde aus jeder jeweils einer, der Erste, au...fsteigen.
Wie steht ihr zu diesem Thema ? Welche Variante würdet ihr bevorzugen ? Oder würdet ihr keinerlei Veränderungen vornehmen wollen ?

I wouldnt change anything. When they created a single, third league, the basic idea behind it was to have a better and more professional third tier with stronger competition.
Having two of them is counterproductive, imho.
Thats why I'm fine with the existing league system though I understand the worries and complaints by fourth tier teams who find it difficult to get promoted though they won their league. That's frustrating.

But is the 3rd league truly considered "professional"? Or is it the top amateur league? Is the 3.Liga governed by DFB?

However, if there was (2) 3.Liga's, then there would be a similar fight as to how decide promotion to the 2.Liga and the teams relegated to the 3.Liga. Tough call.

Strange things are going on in Dortmund, only 2-2 after a 2-0 lead against Paderborn. I mean who the f*** is Paderborn?
There are even Germans who dont know where to find Paderborn on a map ?

But I believe Dortmund will be on 12 or higher until the winter break, simply too much quality in Doofmund.

But I think the are more speculations to come because Mathias Sammer surprisingly took over the job of Nerlinger and everbody expects that he will change a lot of things at Bayern.
