Thanks for the information Tyni. I’m having a hard time making projections because I’m fairly confident Gutey is about to make a splash in FA. Maybe not 2018 4 players like, but I think we acquire at minimum 1-2 high level players (call it Bonafide Starters or $15Mil++ yearly types). Once those FA Dominos fall (depending on availability) in the next couple of calendar weeks (and they will) I’ll be much more comfortable projecting which guys we might draft. I will offer OL, Donovan Jackson was projected to declare last year. I want to say he was later Day2 just going off memory? Anyway I noticed he’s back in the mix this draft. He’s a consensus earlier Day 2 prospect now. Although he’s too early at #23 and likely gone earlier RD2. He’s going to be really good. My hunch is we either go CB or DL. If we steal a CB like Byron Murphy by outbidding MN a few million a season? In pretty sure we go DL in some capacity. Mainly because several players cross our selection on the board and it’s a deep DL class in the top half of the draft for other teams. It’s also an area of primary concern with TJ’s contract expiring. Either we look to FA for an answer or we draft at DL early. I’ll just go a Longhorn for now. This kid is special and I think he fits perfectly what we need. If we can’t steal Byron Murphy in FA, I think this is our ideal answer. Here’s a kid that’s a strong Faith based individual and that part resembles my upbringing. Add he’s got Cooper DeJean versatility. Character, Faith, Versatility, Measurables, Intelligence. He checks all the boxes. He would be an absolute gift to Hafley.
