In the school district I’m most familiar with teachers get compensated for the cost of pursuing their masters degree and once completed, they automatically get a raise. And how often do you suppose that degree improves the teacher’s ability to teach sixth graders? I seem to remember a decades old scandal the Church actively enabled.
