I know there's not a hint of new information available; both sides have shut it down like it's the Manhattan Project. But is anyone else starting to become more concerned about this situation? We haven't heard a peep out of them for weeks, and before that it was just a semi-steady stream "this is nothing to worry about, it'll get done, both sides want this to happen." Now, they don't even bother telling us that. It seems pretty obvious that at least one side desn't want it to happen on whatever terms the other side is sticking to. So "both sides want to get it done" means nothing; it's totally empty. Nothing matters until both sides agree to get it done. On one side, we have the man who's widely considered the best sports agent in the world, and a ruthless negotiator... and on the other, side we have a man who's known as probably the toughest negotiator in the league - a man who agents say guards every Packer dollar as though it's his money, who always starts with extreme lowball offers and makes the agent explain thoroughly why his client deserves every single thing the agent is demanding. Every single thing. Irresistible force, meet immovable object. I just can't help wondering if they really are at an impasse, and waiting to see who blinks first. Trouble is, neither of them ever blinked once in the careers. They don't cave; they wait it out. Camp starts in less then two weeks now. Anyone else starting to worry a bit?
