I fully admit to being somewhat of a Favre detractor, but most of the time it is not to besmirch him unnecessarily, but to give credit where credit is due. The Packer team of 2007 was a fine, balanced team on both sides of the ball. It may have come out of nowhere, but it wasn't through lack of overall talent. The team was pretty good in 2008, mostly needing to "find itself" with a new starter and a new game plan. The 2008 record didn't do justice to the quality on hand; 2009 was better, with a defense that needed improving, especially against the pass, and 2010 speaks for itself. The 2007 squad had a D playing reasonably well and an offense with Driver, Jennings, Jones, and Grant. Plenty of weapons on hand. Credit needs to be given where it is due. As with the entire era, a little less for Favre and a little more for everyone else.</p></blockquote><p></p>
