Message: <blockquote data-quote="Heyjoe4" data-source="post: 966062" data-attributes="member: 13032">Hey Ty I gotta give you credit for being one of the first people here to spot Goodson.  I'm amazed he is an UDFA.  Gotta hand it to Gluten.  He seems to do better with late round picks and UDFAs than he does in round 1 through 3 (although he's made some good picks in round 2).  He also does a pretty good job poaching from other teams' PSs.It's so important in MLF's system to keep three solid RBs on the 53.  And this year, with an unknown WR group, the running game will have to be solid to justify the RPO, where there is likely to be more running than passing.  Bringing in great talent on rookie deals, like Dillon, allows Gluten to let go of guys asking for too much.  Jones was reasonable, but I have a feeling this will happen with Dillon.  And I don't like overpaying for RBs.  It's like overpaying for pitchers in baseball.  These are the positions most subject to injury, or in the case of RBs, short careers.  RBs take an enormous pounding on every snap.  Guys like Frank Gore are, to me, miracles.</blockquote>
