Message: <blockquote data-quote="Pokerbrat2000" data-source="post: 763522" data-attributes="member: 7261"><p>While that can be the case for most positions, there have been 1st and 2nd year TE's that made plenty of contributions to their teams, just a matter of finding the right one.  If the FA market was deeper with quality TE's I might be more excited about going after one of the big names.  You know me well enough that for years I have been saying "the Packers need to sign a top TE in free agency".  That strategy worked well with Cook (for 1 year) but failed with Mo Bennett.  I actually think Kendricks can be a quality starter, not a top 10 guy, but I also don't think any of the "top" FA's TE's are going to be top 10 guys or worth the money.  This might be the year to invest a high pick into the Packers TE of the future.</p></blockquote><p></p>
