I joined 3 truck forums when looking to buy a truck a full year and a half before buying just to see what people were complaining about LOL Plus I saved about 4K with a pretty sound buying strategy I learned over the "best" price i could get out of any dealer around here. But I don't go there anymore either. I joined a mini van forum after 3 trips to a mechanic couldn't fix our AC problem and fixed it myself. But i'm not longer active there. I joined a lawnmower forum too 3 years ago when buying a mower, haven't been back since until this year as we're buying another lot and trying to figure out what i'm going to have to spend to get something to mow the slope that is on it. the ZTR is doable, but it sucks. 15 years ago I was on a bunch of dog training forums. Those had to be the worst. I thought they were great then I realized it was all people that had read something about training and propped themselves up as experts, over the years I've met most of them and their dogs LOL Needless to say I don't go there anymore either. I've had to wade thru a lot of ******** to find the useful stuff, but I have found a pretty good use for most of them at one time or another.
