I wonder what's going on here. Somehow it's hard to believe that the timing of this is pure coincidence:

This so-called "Greg Cee" makes me suspicious, especially since he refers to himself as "A no frills kind of guy." Somebody here used that phrase to describe me a few days ago. And this "Greg Cee" only has four posts. This is not going to end well.
I heard yesterday that Sitton was getting the most reps at right guard, and they had moved Spitz over to left guard to compete with Colledge and Barbre. Sitton is really making a splash in camp. I haven't heard that about Barbre yet, or anyone else for that matter.
Clowney had a poor training camp with the Packers, and they were well-stocked at WR, so they put him on the practice squad and the Jets nabbed him. There was just too much of a logjam at WR last year. Clowney was very raw coming out of college, and it sounds like he's getting his game together now.
Yeah, that's interesting logic isn't it. Sort like how yesterday a guy on the radio was saying how awesome the Vikings would be if they got Chad Pennington, even though he didn't do the Jets much good while he was there.
Yes, I'd already found that article and wanted to post it myself. Here's one paragraph that really stood out to me:
"If you want more proof of how maddening it had to be to deal with Favre, just consider how he handled that reported 10-year, $20 million offer the Packers gave him to stay...
I read a day or two ago that there has been progress in the talks between management and Ryan Grant, and it looks like there is a good chance that Grant will be signed before training camp begins.
When a player tells you that he wants to come out of retirement, and you then make arrangements to officially announce that the player is coming out of retirement, that is team business. Campen, on the other hand, said what he said strictly as a personal suggestion to Favre.
Why am I...
I don't think that falls into the same category. That was not a private conversation, it was team business. What Campen said to Favre, on the other hand, was a personal suggestion and was obviously not team business. The Packers and every one of Campen's future employers will now have doubts...
In this case, you better believe it is. Revealing the contents of a private conversation when they could be damaging to the other party is one of the worst things you can do. Many business relationships, friendships, marriages, etc. have been destroyed by exactly this behavior.
It's...
Time is of the essence. Even if it means getting less trade value than Thompson would like, he needs to move Favre quickly.
Favre has now burned his bridges with the Packers and will never wear the uniform again. What a sad, sad turn of events this has been.
I wish I could find the transcript. In a nutshell, Favre described three situations where he felt Thompson was less than honest with him:
1. Favre asked Thompson to re-sign either Mike Wahle or Marco Rivera. Thompson agreed to do so. He didn't.
2. Favre asked Thompson to interview Steve...
Very interesting! Thanks. However, the results do not give me a whole lot of confidence in the ability of the good people of Green Bay, Wisconsin, to run a football team. Their preferred outcome of having Favre back but not as a starter is not even a realistic possibility, as Favre himself has...
My mom died when I was in my early 20s, and it's probably no coincidence that I then spent a lot of years just
sort of bouncing around from one thing to another. It was the right thing to do, and I don't regret it, but I bet if my mom had lived I would have settled into a career of some kind...
Wow, it is hard to believe it is really that lopsided. I think the poll mentioned above by vegOmatic, from the Milwaukee paper, is closer to the reality. That one was 61% in favor of Favre and 38% against.
